Mineral balance is one of the most important foundations for optimal mind-body health. Minerals are involved in every cell, tissue, organ, and body system — driving nearly every biochemical process in the body, including:
Once you see how minerals impact every function in the body, it’s easy to understand how imbalances or deficiencies lead to symptoms, conditions, and disease. Mineral balancing restores your body’s mineral system, helping you reclaim health, energy, and vitality.
This is where Hair Tissue Mineral Analysis (HTMA) comes in. HTMA is a soft tissue biopsy — much like a liver biopsy, but using hair to assess mineral activity at the cellular level. It measures +/-37 elements, including macro-minerals, trace minerals, and toxic metals, providing direct insight into mineral metabolism and heavy metal status.
Many practitioners offer HTMA, but what sets my approach apart is how I interpret the test. Using research from pioneers like Dr. David Watts, Dr. Paul Eck, George Watson, Dr. Hans Selye, Dr. Weston A. Price, and others, I use HTMA as a full mind-body stress analysis — the foundation of true mineral balancing.
While individual mineral levels offer clues, the real power lies in interpreting mineral ratios and patterns, which reveal how the body is handling stress and regulating key systems. For example:
HTMA uses the 1.5 inches of hair closest to the scalp, giving insight into mineral trends over the past 3 months — unlike blood tests, which show only a moment in time. Blood maintains tight mineral control even when disease is present, often masking deeper imbalances. Minerals, however, shift in the tissues first — making HTMA an ideal early warning system for metabolic issues and the most reliable tool for knowing exactly what your body needs to heal and thrive.
When it comes to restoring health, energy, clarity, and vitality, mineral balancing is unmatched.

HTMA looks at minerals trapped in hair tissue over 3–4 months, while blood levels are tightly regulated and only reflect a moment in time. HTMA reveals patterns and long-term trends beyond short-term fluctuations
The real magic happens at the cellular level—not in the blood.
While blood tests measure nutrient levels at a single point in time, those levels are tightly regulated by the body to maintain short-term balance. This means they don’t always reflect what’s happening inside your cells.
Hair Tissue Mineral Analysis (HTMA) offers a deeper view. It shows how your body has been metabolizing minerals over time—providing insight into long-term trends, imbalances, and patterns that blood work can easily miss.
Hair reflects long-term mineral storage, giving a much more accurate picture of cellular mineral status than blood or urine. Blood only shows short-term levels (e.g. what you ate that day), while urine measures what’s excreted—not what your body is using over time. HTMA is effectively a “video” of your mineral status rather than a “snapshot”
HTMA provides deep insights into your body’s mineral landscape and metabolic function & stress regulation including:
By analyzing both individual minerals and their ratios, HTMA reveals patterns not seen in standard lab tests—guiding a more personalized approach to wellness.

Because your biochemistry shifts over time, results stay current for just a few months—making timely interpretation essential for accurate insight.
Yes—pregnancy influences your biochemical state, which will show up on an HTMA. Nutritional support based on results is both safe and important for supporting both mother and baby.

These factors can mask deficiencies or create imbalances even in otherwise healthy routines.n answer to this item.
Hair grows about ½″ per month. Labs test the most recent 1½″, averaging mineral trends over the past 3–4 months. For reliable supplementation feedback, retesting every 3–4 months is recommended—though stable clients may stretch to 6-12 months if clinically appropriate.
There are many factors involved and every person is on a unique journey which makes it impossible for me to answer this question. We are complex beings, and must consider our body, mind, and spirit when we are seeking balance. If we neglect any aspect of our being we will struggle to find balance, and therefore healing. What I can say is that your body is designed to heal, and by following your personalized protocol you will be providing your body exactly what it needs to heal on a cellular level. Clients who decide to follow only part of thier protocol, aren't truly ready to heal and wont have much, if any success.
Yes—labs using ICP‑MS technology (like ARL and TEI), which do not pre-wash hair samples, provide highly reliable and reproducible data. Washing can artificially alter levels of water-soluble minerals like sodium and potassium.
Scalp hair provides the most accurate results. Body hair (e.g. beard, arm, pubic hair) can only be used as a last resort and may not reflect current biochemistry accurately. Check with your practitioner before providing anything other than a hair sample.

As a functional health coach, my priority is to address your needs, not the needs of an insurance company. I offer comprehensive care and coaching which often consists of lifestyle, functional, holistic, and complementary treatments along with advanced testing, all of which are frequently deemed ‘outside of reasonable and customary’ by insurance companies and excluded from covered benefits. However, in some instances based on your FSA / HSA account, some costs may qualify for reimbursement.
I value our time together. If you are unable to keep your scheduled appointment, please do so 48 hours before your scheduled time or you will be charged for that appointment.
I run a virtual clinic located in Alaska, United States. All of my sessions are done over zoom and are scheduled in the Alaska Time Zone.
Outside of yes or no answers, stand-alone services do not include email support (unless detailed on the product page). Questions that require more than a yes or no answer require a consult.
Email is only monitiored during business hours. While I do strive to be prompt, response times are dependent on my schedule and may take upto three business days.

A study of the composition and distribution of all minerals and trace elements in a living organism and their variations under diverse physiological and pathological conditions, specifically the molecular mechanism underlying the metabolism, homeostasis, and cross-talk of these elements.
Bioenergetics and bioresonance are two different but related fields that focus on the body’s energy systems to promote healing and balance in the body. .
Both of these modalities support the immune system, reduce stress, and improve overall health and well-being.
Somatic therapy is body-centric approach to release stress, tension, stagnant emotions, and trauma from the body.
Biofield refers to the complete energetic system within and around the body. It includes an electric and magnetic component similiar to your home electrical wiring. It highlights the interconnected nature of these elements, which play a vital role in your overall well-being.
Your body’s electromagnetic field extends past your physical body, and deeply connects your energy system with your conscious and subconscious mind.
Energy medicine is based on the understanding that physical, mental, and behavioral problems have a counterpart in the body’s energies, and can be treated at this level.
Trauma is not what happens to you. Trauma is what happens inside of you as a result of what happened to you. -Gabor Mate
Trauma is the lasting response resulting from distressing events. The distressing events don’t have to be huge. They can be small & seem like no big deal. It's all in how the event was interpreted.
Trauma is stored in the body (not the mind) where it alters our physiology & has a big impact on our health. One of the first things we do after a traumatic experience is disconnect from our body – because the feeling or emotion is too painful. So we live in our head. Ignoring the trauma doesn’t make it go away. The trauma is still there chronically triggering a fight or flight response, dysregulating your nervous system, and down regulating your energy producing glands.
I have extensive education and training in my respective fields, hold a degree from an accredited university, and am certified in my areas of expertise.
Due to New York Public Health Law I am unable to accept hair samples collected within the state of New York. Please contact me for further instructions.
Due to exclusive distribution agreements, I am unable to collect hair samples collected within certain countries. If you live outside of North America, please contact me for further instructions.
Regardless of your location we can work on a consultation basis, including interpretation of an existing HTMA.
