A HTMA tests approximately 1.5 inches of hair closest to the scalp to provide a reading of mineral deposition over the previous three months. This is unique and significant in that it allows us to look at long term metabolic trends. Contrast this to blood which captures only the exact moment in which the sample is collected. Think of a blood test is like a snap shot, catching a glimpse of your nutrients in time, and think of HTMA like a video of your nutrient retention over an extended period of time. Symptoms, conditions, and dis-ease don’t happen overnight, they happen over time.
Another feature of HTMA that further underscores it significance is the fact that mineral values can vary widely in tissue versus mineral values in blood, which are under tight homeostatic control even in the face of disease. This is significant becuase metabolic activity occurs in the cells; Blood is simply a transport mechanism for minerlas and hormones. In fact, minerals are pulled from the tissue to maintain mineral balance in the blood. For these reasons HTMA is a great early indicator for metabolic issues and the best way to know for certain what nutrients your body needs to thrive.
HTMA is the best tool out there to assess & balance the body’s mineral profile to optimize your health, energy. & vitality!
This leaves them unaware of the proven connection between nutritional deficiencies, the nervous system, and physical and mental disease. Even more sad is that most doctors rely on blood tests, which perpetuates the problem.
For example, if you just ate a banana a blood test can indicate high potassium, even though you might have a deficiency of potassium in your cells (hint...most people do!). On the other hand, HTMA accurately indicates your cellular level of potassium, unaffected by that banana you just ate.
Remember, the magic happens in the cells, not the blood.
Progressive health providers are now well aware of the vast amount of research linking nutritional imbalances to a reduction in energy and an increase in disease. HTMA reveals a unique metabolic world which cannot be seen through other tests. HTMA is quickly becoming the standard for preventative and corrective care for world-class athletes, celebrities, and top ranking government officials.
Even the E.P.A. relies on HTMA, reporting that human hair can be effectively used for biological monitoring of toxic metals. A 1980 report confirmed the findings of other studies in the U.S. and abroad, which concluded that human hair is a more appropriate tissue than blood or urine for studying exposure to trace elements.
I work exclusively with Trace Elements Lab, Inc. (TEI) and Analytical Research Labs. They have each far surpassed a million patient specimens. Both labs specalize in hair HTMA exclusively, each analyzing over 50,000 samples per year. Their full attention is focused on analyzing your results.
HTMA provides necessary insight to the vast array of health conditions emanating from and perpetuated by nutrient imbalance and heavy metal toxicity. With the proper analysis, you will discover a blueprint to optimize your health, energy, & vitality.
